Being Confident

What does it mean to be strong and confident ? Any thoughts?

I believe to be confident means FREEDOM! Freedom from doubt. Freedom says "I've been around this mountain 900 times and it's time to change!" To be confident is "to be"- To be free to live, love, dream, and give. Where do we get this confidence? From our Lord, Jesus Christ. In his word it is written in Proverbs 3:26 for the Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being snared.

Fear may come and whisper words of doubt and unbelief ..Don't listen to fear, don't give in and back down. The best advice I can give you when you are in fear is this: Do it Afraid! That's the only way you will get victory in your life and to become the confident person you were made to be. If you have a strong desire to do something, but fear holds you in bondage..just do it afraid. Once you get past the fear, the victory is yours!

To be confident is to change your way of thinking, it means to talk to yourself..tell yourself over and over that you are worthy, you deserve it, and your opinions matter. Take Godly principles and put them into action.

Get around the people that you see yourself to be. Surround yourself with confident people. Not the grumblers and fault finders, or nay sayers. Being confident also means to be content with yourself. Like yourself, don't compare yourself with anyone. Don't be afraid to step outside of the box and be different. There's nothing wrong with different. It's fresh and creative! An example of having confidence that comes to my mind is this: Say you decide to wear your hair differently..you walk into a room with the new hairstyle, your happy with it but deep down you know there will be someone that won't like it. It's confidence in yourself to wear it and not think twice what someone else has to say.. As you stroll past the disapproving glance, you smile and keep going. It won't matter if you get the disapproving glance...it just won't matter...because you are CONFIDENT in yourself.

Accept and like yourself. God created YOU. You are unique..there is no one else on this earth like you. Each of us have gifts, talents and qualities that differ from everyone else. You are special! Walk with confidence that you are a rare jewel.

There are so many people in the world who condemn themselves for many different reasons; they feel that they have nothing to contribute. I'm hear to say that is a lie! Each of you have something to contribute! Don't live by how you feel..You can be confident even when you don't feel confident! Start choosing today to have the right thoughts about yourself..Self does matter!

Remember: A negative, self-defeating attitude destroys all hope of success.
